    • Meeting the Espionage Challenge: A Review of United States Counterintelligence and Security Programs (Report 99-522) 10/03/86 (Senate Select Committee on Intelligence).
    • House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, United States Counterintelligence and Security Concerns – 1986 Report 100-5 
    • “Stillwell Commission Report” – Keeping the Nation’s Secrets: A Report to the Secretary of Defense By the Commission to Review DOD Security Policy and Practices (1985).
    • The Inman Report: Report of the Secretary of State’s Advisory Panel on Overseas Security
  • Will return  to reviewing the  American Intelligence Journal issues through Roy Jonker’s tenure as president of the organization.
  • Reviewed (old) cassette tape of Emenegger interview on a radio station, and a transcript of an Emenegger interview in Linda Howe’s An Alien Harvest.
  • Researched FBI reaction to the release of the MJ-12 documents in the 1980s. Reviewed the FBI reading room file on MJ-12.
  • Reviewed a number of documents from the Barry Greenwood MJ-12 research file (courtesy David Marler Archive).

  • Holding the review of above in abeyance in order to review four government reports on espionage and counterintelligence:
    • Meeting the Espionage Challenge: A Review of United States Counterintelligence and Security Programs (Report 99-522) 10/03/86 (Senate Select Committee on Intelligence).
    • House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, United States Counterintelligence and Security Concerns – 1986 Report 100-5

    • Roy Jonkers as President of the Association shifted the newsletter to have longer, more in depth articles.

  • Organized work plans and decision rules to research and write the book tentatively titled Unanswered Questions: A History of the MJ-12 Affair.

  • Research turn: Came across a document mentioning Roy Jonkers, which established that Jonkers was the president of the National Military Intelligence Association.
    • Reviewed 20 issues of the organization’s newsletter American Intelligence Journal (Fall 1977 through January 1987).
      • VADM Burkhalter showed up as a board member of the National Military Intelligence Association in the February 1983 issue.
      • Jonkers appears as President of the National Military Association in the January 1987 issue.

    • Continued writing into prospective book tentatively titled Unanswered Questions: A History of the MJ-12 Affair.
